The Independent: The 50 Best B&Bs – 30 May – 5 June 2009

Just opened, on Skye’s rugged Northeast coast, The Spoons is a custom-built B&B overlooking Loch Snizort. Packed with atmosphere inside, the three bedrooms and guest living room are decorated with antique mirrors, tweed sofas and cashmere throws.

    Welcoming, clean and with all that is best about organic and natural comfort, flavours and ambience. For quality the Spoons on Skye, the place, the people and the food will be hard to beat on Skye or anywhere else for that matter. When can we come back again?

    Mairi and Ian are wonderful hosts, the place is amazing, the decor is stunning, the breakfast, the afternoon tea, the dinner, the room, the bath .. shall I go on….too many superlatives to mention…

    This is heaven on earth… you MUST go!
