Skye Weavers is a definite ‘must see’ when you visit the island. Andrea & Roger weave the most beautiful cloth on a bicycle powered loom! We are delighted that the bedroom and dining chairs are currently being reupholstered in Skye Weavers tweed and cannot wait to see the finished product…

We wish all our guests old and new A Very Happy New Year in 2017. The Spoons Bed & Breakfast has enjoyed 8 wonderful and busy years meeting our lovely guests from all over the World. After 22 years in hospitality Ian and Marie have decided to downsize in order to explore other interests as well as continue to provide top quality accommodation on Skye.
So in April 2017 after an extensive refurbishmant we re-open in a new guise as The Spoons Luxury Self-Catering Escape; a beautiful, luxurious escape for just 2 guests. Marie is now working part-time as arts administrator for SEALL an events organisation in Sleat and will continue to enjoy looking after The Spoons and it’s guests. Ian is very busy refurbishing the house to create the new look Spoons Luxury Self-Catering and in April he joins the team at Go To St Kilda which is a very exciting new adventure for him! He will of course continue to work the croft in order to provide The Spoons guests with fresh eggs, honey and produce.
The Spoons Luxury Self-Catering will be part of the main house but will feel very private and have it’s own separate entrance and garden area. We will provide delicious local produce so that guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast in their own time at their own pace. There will be a light supper awaiting on arrival and so guests can settle in before venturing out! We offer weekly stays and short breaks (minimum 3 nights) throughout the whole year.
As the work progresses we will post photos on this page. In the meantime if you have any questions please just contact us via the Contact Us page on the website and we will be delighted to help. We look forward to hearing from you and hope to welcome you to The Spoons in 2017…
Warmest best wishes and all the best for 2017,
Ian & Marie

We are really delighted to be exhibiting Helena Emmans work at The Spoons again this year. Helena is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art and lives and makes her work on the Isle of Skye. She paints, makes intricate thread works and silver spoons! We love her work and we are sure you will enjoy them too…
