The Spoons Luxury Self Catering Escape is a beautiful, luxurious escape for just 2 guests situated on a working croft on the Isle of Skye. In 2017, after an extensive refurbishment, Marie & Ian Lewis have created stunning accommodation in a private wing of their home.
A brief history;
Ian and Marie Lewis completed building The Spoons in 2009, after a two year self build, during which time Ian built while Marie worked at the Three Chimneys. Prior to that they lived on and managed the private island estate of Eilean Shona, off the coast of Ardnamurchan. There they ran the luxurious Eilean Shona House for 12 years, looking after up to 20 guests.
In 2009 The Spoons opened as a 5 Gold Star luxury Bed & Breakfast and for 8 busy seasons Ian and Marie enjoyed meeting and welcoming lovely guests, from all over the World, into their home.
After 22 years in hospitality Marie & Ian have now closed the B&B and downsized to The Spoons Luxury Self Catering.
Marie is now working part-time as the arts administrator for SEALL, a lively arts promoter in Sleat in the south of Skye and she will continue to enjoy looking after The Spoons and its guests. Ian has joined the crew at Go To St Kilda which is a very exciting new adventure for him! He will of course continue to work the croft in order to provide The Spoons guests with fresh eggs, honey and produce.
Ian and Marie pride themselves on attention to detail. They are committed to ensure that their guests are well looked after and that their needs and expectations are met. Should you require any help or advice on planning your journey and time on Skye they are more than happy to advise you. Please do not hesitate to contact them.
